Bed & Breakfast Room 3 - Our secret room

Room 3  known as our secret room has its own stair case within the room and features a wealth of old beams when viewed from the bed side of the room.  The room has a king size bed and is splendidly furnished with richly polished quality antique furniture.  Facilities include TV and DVD player with radio alarm and tea and coffee making facilites for our guests.  There is a full length mirror to add light to the room and so you can see how you look before going out.  The room has a newly fitted en suite with shower toilet and basin, in the room you'll find an additional vanitory unit. The room is at the back of the pub and is over one of our cellars which was formely the kitchen of a partially demolished house as a result its amazingly quiet.  We like the room so much we often have nights away to it! Why is it our secret room?  When the landlord of around 1985 moved in he fitted central heating and modernised  the plumbing and wiring in the whole pub.  Apparently whilst he was doing this he knocked through some brick work and found a void behind an old toilet, further investigations revealed a complete blocked off doorway which when opened revealed a long lost room.  The room was empty no bodies just lots of dust and some old red soldier type uniforms papers and the like.  It's thought the uniforms could have been from an early Bewdley town band or from local soldiers returned home from the wars, unfortunatley so we're told they were burnt by mistake along with some builders rubbish.  Today it makes a splendid room and has become a great favourite with lovers and honey mooners alike due to its charm and style.
